APTQI 2025 Tour Program Engages Bipartisan House & Senate Lawmakers

As part of APTQI’s 2025 Facility Tour Program, our provider members have welcomed representatives of bipartisan House and Senate offices to showcase the value of community-based physical and occupational therapy and discuss our current policy priorities, including the Stopping Addiction and Falls for the Elderly (SAFE) Act (S. 2612 & H.R. 1171) and rate stability under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS). At each of these visits, lawmaker offices have responded well to our messaging and gained greater understanding of the challenges currently facing our practices.

Since we launched our tour program in early 2025, APTQI members have hosted visits with staff from the following offices:

  • Senator Steve Daines (R-MT)
  • Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL)
  • Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH)
  • Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI)
  • Senator James Lankford (R-OK)
  • Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC)
  • Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA)
  • Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)
  • Representative John James (R-MI-10)
  • Representative Erin Houchin (R-IN-09)
  • Representative John Larson (D-CT-01)
  • Representative Michael Rulli (R-OH-06)

Thank you to all the APTQI members who have opened up your clinics and hosted visits this year, which are vital to our ongoing advocacy and education programs. By building local relationships with lawmakers and their staff, we can more effectively influence the public policies impacting the care of our patients and the future of our profession.

Tours so far this year have been hosted by ATI Physical Therapy, Cypress Health Partners, Confluent Health, Doctors of Physical Therapy, First Settlement Physical Therapy, Health & Rehab Solutions, Mountain Land Physical Therapy, Team Rehab Physical Therapy, Upstream Rehabilitation, and U.S. Physical Therapy.

We look forward to continuing this tour program while lawmakers are home during August recess!
